I met the Flickers today. They're a lovely family from Devon. It was Carens's birthday and they were celebrating by renting a cottage in a little village near Banbury. Fiona, Carens daughter, booked me to come and take some family portraits for a birthday present for her Mum.
It was lovely, sunny and warm when I was photographing a karting meeting earlier during the day, unfortunately the sun went in and it had got quite cold when we were taking the pictures in the evening. But no one minded that and we got some great shots.

Thornborough 10k & Fun Run
It's that time of year again. The Thornborough 10k & Fun Run is held every May bank holiday Monday around the little village of Thornborough, which is between Milton Keynes and Buckingham. There's always a great community spirit and holiday atmosphere about this event. Although I never make a lot of money from it, I still always enjoy going to this event.

Bluebells in Whichford Woods
This is going to sound really soppy, but we sometimes really do take the beauty of nature for granted. We really have got some awesome scenery and landscapes, maybe we should all try and appreciate it a bit more and try and preserve what we have.
These pictures were taken in Whichford Woods near Hook Norton in North Oxfordshire.

Adrenaline Fund Raising Events For The Anthony Nolan Trust
This has a been a busy and tiring weekend. I covered a Zip Slide at Baiting Dam near Halifax yesterday, and an abseil at Pilgrims Hospital in Boston today. The weather was great and, as usual, I forgot to put on any sun cream so I'm feeling very sun burned and wind swept at the moment.
I had a go at the zip slide yesterday which was huge fun and a real adrenaline rush. A big thanks to the guys at Keswick Adventure Centre for that.

Pete & Karen Engagement Portraits
On the way back from Sea Palling (see previous post) I stopped of in Cambridge for a photo shoot with Pete and Karen. We had the shoot at the Double Tree Hotel because that is where they are getting married. We all taught that it would be a good idea to have a good look around and decide on the best spots for photos before the day.
I'm really looking forward to covering this wedding as it's in such a fantastic venue.
A Trip to Sea Palling
We went to Sea Palling yesterday to visit Mandie's parents who were staying over there in their caravan. I love going to sea side, no matter what the weather is like. In fact, I nearly prefer it in the winter when there are less people about, if you're wrapped up well it's great. Sheri, our dog, loved it as well. She's not so keen on the water but loves tearing around in open spaces.

Cross Country Eventing at Turpins Lodge
I spent a couple of hours today taking photos of riders from Turpins Lodge having cross country lessons. I don't do much equine photography so it's nice to have a go at something different, and as Turpins lodge is only a mile from my house it's very handy.
