I've spent the last two days photographing kart racing at Rye House in Hertfordshire. I'm a real petrol head, so I love this sort of work......usually. But on Saturday it bucketed (is that a real word) it down. At one point I had to stop taking pictures as my fingers were numb. I can't imagine it was much fun for the competitors either. Thankfully on Sunday the weather was better and I had a great day.

Short Trip To Ireland
I'm usually carrying loads of camera gear around all the time, I have too. So sometimes, like on holidays for example, I just like to leave it all behind and just use a simple little pocket camera. This is what I did on a recent trip home to Ireland, I just used Mandies little Olympus Stylus 790. No, I didn't have all the options that I'd have had with my Canon DSLR, but it was so handy just having a little camera that we could keep in our pocket rather than lugging around a big camera bag.
All of these pictures were taken near my home town of Navan.

Abseiling in Avon Gorge
Avon Gorge in Bristol is one of my favourite places to photograph abseiling. When the sun is out it's a wonderful place to spend the day, sitting on the edge of a cliff with an amazing view, meeting lots of new people and taking photos all day.
This is a two day abseil, talented freelance photographer Misha Ostromecki is covering it for me tomorrow when I cover another abseil in Oxford.
